TESTA by Jazmin Morris - Launch

Launch date July
Please join artist Jazmin Morris for the launch of TESTA. An artwork created through an artistic residency in the Idle Women Physic Garden developed in collaboration with women and medicinal plants.  A digital artwork for a low tech future.

Dark Moon Film Club

​Tuesday 16 June, 5.30- 9.30pm, Accrington
The Idle Women Trainee Producers invite you to  join a free movie night made for women. Snacks, a movie and relaxed discussion provided.  Come as you are, no expectations, no judgement, just a welcoming space to enjoy a film. All women are welcome.

Home Grown Gatherings

Seasonal gatherings for women, with home grown food and plant crafts held at the Idle Women allotment in Accrington.

Children must always be accompanied by an adult. Please no dogs other than guide dogs. The allotment has an accessible compost toilet, some seating and a rain shelter. Ground is uneven and there is no drinking water available so please dress for the weather and bring drinking water

Physic Garden monthly activities
Open garden  - public opening hours -  make yourself at home. We will be working somewhere in the garden.

Plant study group - A free monthly drop in workshop. Meeting medicinal plants throughout the seasons, no booking required.

Farrah’s plant study group meets as part of the Progression not Perfection programme of sisterhood, activity and adventure. Get in touch if you’d like to join.

Visiting at other times by individuals, groups or for self-organised activities will always be accommodated if possible, please contact us directly. [email protected]

Curatorial Collective - We said that it would take seven years to build the garden and that it would last for a hundred years. How can this promise be sustained and who will become her caretakers? Explore these questions and your own through a programme of monthly plant studies.
