Residents of Strood are invited to share their skills and knowledge of the town’s heritage, hidden histories and myths past and present to be weaved into a subversive pantomime for the town. No Tail will premier to a live audiences on the Winter Solstice, a night where the natural order of things is reversed at Strood’s Temple Manor, a 13th century Knights Templar manor house, mummified by a 21st century industrial estate. The performance will be co-created by Strood residents working with and learning from a creative team of experts in theatre performance, lighting, set costume design, prop-making and puppetry.

Strood, ME2 2AH On the longest night of the year, December 22nd, No Tail will take over Strood’s 13th century building, Temple Manor, a historic gem locked inside an industrial estate. Created with and for the people of Strood, No Tail is a unique pantomime drawing on historic mumming plays and hidden local stories, past and present. The event promises to be a celebration of the winter solstice, full of magical potential, where anything becomes possible.
